Mitch McCabe's documentary "My Mother's Beauty Cream" is a Finalist for the Richard P. Vague Award, a $75-100,000 production award given to recent NYU alumni. Winners will be announced April 24, 2006.

Chipped Nail Polish hired for Axe "Behind the Scenes"

Promotion Pictures has once again hired Chipped Nail Polish Productions to produce and direct the "Behind the Scenes" documentary about its new, student-directed short films. The winners of the Promotion Pictures competition are Robert Pietri, Michael Sugarman, and Oskar Thor Axelsson. More to come!

Chipped Nails hired to do Verizon documentary

Verizon Broadband and Promotion Pictures has hired Chipped Nail Polish Productions to produce and direct a documentary about the short films Verizon is sponsoring by NYU filmmakers and NYU Stern Business School studnets. For the past month we've been running around New York City catching the filmmakers as they plan their "branded entertainment" in production meetings, location scoutings, audtions, etc. All three films are shooting in different cities spread across the U.S.-- Los Angeles, Columbus Ohio and New York City. To be continued....

The Selection committee at NYU just announced that my documentary "My Mother's Beauty Cream" is a finalist for the Richard Vague Production Grant. People, this is like big money ($100,000!!!), so keepin the fingers crossed!
